Fuck you all...I can remember seeing Kung Fu Joe and Beaker at schnapps barge...mind you several people claim to have been going to punk gigs at this time...which is funny cos they would have been about 12 at the time(and as a schnapps regular I knew they didnt let 12 year olds in).

but on another note, i think its funny that carlos99 and kitchen junkie sit there and go on about how they have never stop'd listening to punk, i love punk i still love all the music i used to listen to, but i like to think that my musical tastes will develop and change giving me a wider choie of music, and to keep an open mind. its better than sitting there waiting for then next album by one of the few bands you like.
at the moment in grimsby there arn't enough bands to put on a punk gig or a hc gig so surely it can be worked together?
Do you need to have been at gigs many years ago, to be a true punk, i mean is there a waiting period to become one? do i have to attend several catergate gigs to become one? is there somewhere i can apply? I think( as if you care) that punk or whatever you want to label your sorry asses, resdies within, its a mentality that resides within( new age eh?) its how you life your life, its how you interact with people, its about what makes you want to rip it up with your mates, it about having a good time, its about getting along, and charting your life, i was too young to go to the cartergate or to schnapps, but i would have loved to, ive gone to all the gigs i can get to or afford,(can i have my scene points please?)but it dosent make me anymore punk than those who have only ever gone to a few gigs at the beachy, as long as they are going cos they appreciate the music and the atmosphere, and arent going cos its in vouge, well i think that they are punk as fuck, or at least as punk as all your sorry asses.love

I agree with the last guy, (did I just gain or lose scene points?) When gigs where put on at the schnapps and baker street, them type of gig..... there weren't many punk or H/C bands about... but no one cared about the different tastes it was a gig.. mix of H/C punk and rock... sometime even indie.... but they where ace gig's.. thats why loads of people remember the places... [img]smile.gif[/img] we was gonna buy the schnapps and do it up at one point.. the it sunk.. he he [img]smile.gif[/img]
